On August 30th, Carina Dantas, CEO of SHINE 2Europe, presented the AI4HF project at the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) World Congress in Copenhagen.
Her presentation underlined the crucial need to integrate ethical, social, and inclusive principles into the design and use of AI in healthcare. By going beyond technical performance, AI4HF is pioneering a model of innovation that builds trust, inclusivity, and real-world relevance in cardiovascular health.
Carina highlighted the power of multidisciplinary collaboration uniting patients, clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and technology developers to ensure that AI addresses genuine healthcare needs. As she put it: “Artificial Intelligence can only succeed in healthcare if we design it with and for people. AI4HF is proof that inclusivity and ethics are not add-ons but core conditions for success.”
The FIP World Congress is one of the largest global gatherings in pharmaceutical sciences, practice, education, and digital health. This year’s record-breaking edition welcomed 3,455 participants from 120 countries, with a strong focus on how technology and innovation can create resilient, people-centered health systems, an ideal stage to spotlight AI4HF’s forward-looking approach.
